What do pending, waitlisted, confirmed and checked in mean?

For families and for organizers. Each person on a registration has a status, shown beside their name.

The statuses

  • Pending (a family sees “Waiting for the organizers”): the place is held while the organizers approve it, or until its payment arrives. On an event whose organizers confirm each registration themselves, paying holds the place and it stays pending until they confirm it; they check in only the people they confirmed.
  • Waitlisted: the event was full. When a place frees up, the next person waiting is offered it, by email and in their notifications. On a paid event they have a set time to pay before it goes to the next person.
  • Confirmed: the place is theirs.
  • Held · pay at the door: the place is confirmed, and is paid at the door, or online before.
  • Checked in: they arrived and were checked in.
  • Unverified: registered without an account and not yet confirmed from the email link. It holds no place until it is.
  • Withdrawn: cancelled, by the family or the organizers.
  • Refunded: cancelled and paid back.
  • Ignored (a family sees “Removed”): set aside by the organizers, or turned down as not eligible. It holds no place. A family turned down is told why, and anything paid is refunded.
  • Interested: asked to hear about the event; not registered.

If it doesn't work

  • Pending for a long time after paying by bank: a bank payment can take a few business days to arrive. The place stays held until it does.
  • Anything else: write to the organizers from the registration's page. They decide each registration.
