Who sees my child's work, name and scores?

For parents and guardians of children who learn here. Only adults hold an account; a child learns through yours, or through a link you make for their own device.

Their work

  • You see it, and so do the organization's staff who teach or run the course, as with anything you register them for.
  • Their answers and work are stored encrypted.
  • In learner mode: While learner mode is on, your child's answers, quiz attempts and assignments are saved to their record at this school, as when you work on them together. Learner mode collects no username, password or email for your child, and sends them nothing.

On their own device

  • You make a single-use link from My courses and read a code out to them. The code isn't in the link. Say it or show it; don't send it.
  • The organization can sign a learner's device out for safety. You are told at once, and only you can let them learn on a device again.
  • To stop learner mode altogether, choose Withdraw consent on My account.

Their name and scores in public

  • Public results boards and certificate checks show a child without their own account by initials only, and only when the event lists them. You can let them show the full name instead, where the event uses full names.
  • You choose that on My account, under Learner mode.

If it doesn't work

  • Something about your child is shown where you did not expect it: write to support@atduty.com.
